I race sailboats, blacksmith, do leatherwork, attend theaters, love terriers and my wife, recently have taken up the piano, and read far too many medievalist textbooks (to name a few “things”). However, nothing has given me greater joy and meaning than writing. An avid reader, I picked up the habit of trying my hand at writing fiction when I was a teen. In fall 2021, I lost everything I had written since childhood (back up your computer folks!) and decided to start again–ultimately leading me on this journey. It’s been one of the best choices I’ve made.
